Brookfield Picks Pendry Chain for Manhattan West Hotel

Pendry Hotel officials state the firm hopes to open the Pendry Manhattan West hotel at the 7-million-square-foot mixed-use development sometime in 2021.

NEW YORK CITY—Brookfield Properties has selected Irvine, CA-based luxury brand Pendry Hotels to operate a hotel property within its Manhattan West development in the Hudson Yards district.

Construction is expected to begin in the third quarter of this year on the Pendry Manhattan West hotel that will feature 164 rooms, including 30 suites. The property, which marks the flag’s entrance into the New York City market, is also expected to have a signature restaurant, a lounge, open-air terrace bar as well as meeting and event space.
