As more building owners look for alternative forms of energy or LEED certifications, new laws and developments come out of the pipeline. Globest.com's Natalie Dolce presents a laws behind entitlements and zoning issues to develop solar panels.
To gather information for the piece, Dolce spoke with Matthew Gorman, a partner at Alvarez-Glasman & Colvin. Gorman specializes in the fields of land use, solar rights, government relations, environmental law, and litigation. As an expert on California's Solar Rights Act, Mr. Gorman represents property owners, solar energy companies, developers, and others in solar energy disputes, according to his official bio. Also interviewed was Anthony Marinaccio, an associate at the same firm. He specoializes in redevelopment law, landlord-tenant issues, zoning and land use matters, environmental law and real estate law. Mr. Marinaccio has experience advising public agency and private entity clients on Jessica's Law, discrimination and Fair Housing laws, the Solar Rights Act, and the California Public Records Act, as his website bio states.
