NASHVILLE-Omni Hotels & Resorts received approval from the Convention Center Authority of Nashville to construct an 800-room hotel close to the city's convention center.

Omni is also in discussion with Boston officials to develop a 1,000-room city-owned convention hotel and is one of the finalists for a bid to construct a 500-room convention hotel in Pittsburgh.
