SM Energy Co. expands
at One Elridge Place
HOUSTON-SM Energy Co. has signed a long-term office lease of 52,389 square feet at One Eldridge Place on different floors. The independent energy company currently occupies approximately 30,000 square feet at One Elridge Place, located at 777 N. Eldridge Pkwy.
Grubb & Ellis Co.’s Jim Arket, senior vice president, and Mona Williams, senior associate, of the tenant advisory group represented SM Energy. Grubb & Ellis tells GlobeSt.com that it cannot comment further on lease terms due to confidentiality.
SM Energy will take occupancy of the new space in the second quarter of 2012. “When weighing options, SM Energy chose to sign a new expanded lease at One Eldridge Place due to its strong ownership and being part of a class A multi-phased office project excellently located within Houston’s Energy Corridor,” Arket says.
John Pruitt of CBRE represented Behringer Harvard, the property owner, in the transaction. Behringer Harvard has been busy leasing space in the area. As GlobeSt.com recently posted, the owner leased the entire 305,000-square-foot Three Eldrige Place to BP Plc., which will occupy the space this quarter.
