Gila River to Reconstruct, Upgrade Two Phoenix Area Casinos

PHOENIX-The Gila River Indian Community is planning to spend $160 million to rebuild and improve two casinos in the Phoenix region. The first scheme is the $135-million restoration of the Vee Quiva Casino in the West Valley.

The 175,000-square-foot casino will have a 90-room hotel. The second project is the $25-million addition of a 130-room hotel, restaurant and conference center to Lone Butte Casino in the East Valley.
