PORTLAND, OR-The Portland Development Commission has approved Homer Williams's hotel project in the Pearl District neighborhood. The commission has agreed to allow Hoyt Street Properties sell the site at Northrup and Northwest Ninth streets to a Homer Williams-led entity to construct a new 225-room Residence Inn by Marriott.

Williams is partnering with a Portland-based investment broker to develop the $20-plus million project under the Pearl Hotel Investors LLC name. SERA Architects has designed the building and Howard S. Wright Constructors will build it. For the full story, go to Portland Business Journal .
