Whitaker Square in Winston-Salem Changes Hands

WINSTON-SALEM, NC-Whitaker Square, an 82,760-square-foot retail center in Winston-Salem, was sold this week. The deal is part of Equity One Inc.'s sale of 36 retail centers across the US to Blackstone Real Estate Partners.
In September, Equity One planned to sell the properties, which includes approximately 3.9 million square feet of retail space, for $473.1 million to Blackstone. Other North Carolina centers, included in the deal, are Parkwest Crossing in Durham, Salisbury Marketplace in Salisbury and Carolina Pavilion in Charlotte.
