HOUSTON-CenterPoint Energy Inc. will start construction this week on a new building in Houston's East End. The Houston-based energy company will consolidate its operations from three other facilities into the new 122,000-square-foot building.

CenterPoint will bring 225 workers to the company-owned facility at 6363 Navigation. The new building, which will come up on a 10-acre site, will provide space for warehousing, maintenance, construction, management, training and fabrication shop. David E.
