WASHINGTON, DC-Washington City Paper has reported that the Quality Inn located at 501 New York Ave. NE in the District will soon be replaced with an eight-story hotel. Baywood Hotels has proposed the 216-room Homewood Suites on the New York Avenue site.

The Greenbelt-based developer is also searching for three other locations in other areas of the city for hotels. Baywood Hotels' proposal for the new Homewood Suites will require an upzoning. For the full story, go to Washington Business Journal .
