CLEARWATER, FL-Liberty Group of Companies has bought Comfort Inn in Plant City and Comfort Suites in Clearwater. The Clearwater-based company bought the nonperforming senior mortgage acquired by the Comfort Suites hotel from C-III Asset Management LLC and bought the fee-simple interest in the Comfort Inn hotel from CWCapital Asset Management LLC.

The Clearwater hotel was last sold in 2005 for $4.5 million and the Plant City hotel was sold in 2006 for $5.6 million. The properties will be managed by Liberty Hospitality Management. For the full story, go to Tampa Bay Business Journal .
