WASHINGTON, DC-The National Association of Realtors has reported that sales of previously owned homes increased to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.57 million in January 2012, a 4.3% increase from December 2011. The increase was 0.7% when compared to January 2011. Median sales price in January 2012 was $154,700, a 2% decrease from January 2011 value of $157,900.

According to the report, the existing-home sales increased in all four regions in the US in January 2012 when compared to December 2011. For the full story, go to Wall Street Journal .
