CARLSBAD, CA-Excel Trust Inc. of San Diego has signed a joint-venture deal with GEM Realty Capital Inc. of Chicago to revamp La Costa Towne Center, a 121,000-square-foot retail center in Carlsbad. Details of the deal as well as development plans for the shopping center were not revealed.
Excel Trust bought the retail center, situated at 7710 El Camino Real, in February for roughly $23.5 million. The center is anchored by Vons. For the full story, go to San Diego Business Journal .
