LOS ANGELES-The Wilshire Grand hotel situated in downtown Los Angeles will be demolished to make way for an 80-story hotel. The razing of the existing building at 930 Wilshire Blvd. is expected start in the coming few weeks. This week, Korean Air and project partner Los Angeles-based Martin Project Management sent out notices regarding demolition.
The new hotel will comprise 900 rooms as well as 400,000 square feet of retail and office space. Construction is scheduled to be finished in 2016. For the full story, go to Los Angeles Business Journal .
