SAN DIEGO-Chelsea Investment Corp., a Carlsbad-based developer, has opened its new affordable housing complex in the Barrio Logan redevelopment area of San Diego. The 92-unit Estrella del Mercado Apartments is situated off Cesar E. Chavez Parkway near Chicano Park, between Main Street and National Avenue.
The San Diego Housing Commission invested $7.11 million to purchase the parcel for the apartments and provided a loan for the $43-million development. The apartments are part of the mixed-use Mercado del Barrio project. For the full story, go to San Diego Business Journal .
