SEATTLE-Gerding Edlen Investment Management Co., a real property investment, development and management company based in Portland, has purchased an apartment project in downtown Seattle. The firm has acquired the project close to Seattle University from Dallas-based Valencia Capital Management for $5.6 million.

The firm and its partners will start construction on the 118-unit rental property in August. The project also includes a 6,500-square-foot retail space. Kidder Mathews represented the buyer, and Moran & Co. represented Valencia Capital Management in the deal. For the full story, go to Portland Business Journal.
