RealtyTrac Launches App for Mobile Devices
IRVINE, CA—RealtyTrac has launched a mobile app specifically for use on an Apple iPhone or iPad. The new app gives users the ability to view detailed real estate information on virtually any residential property, which is available on the data source’s website, including foreclosure status and details, estimated market value, property characteristics, property taxes, sales history, open loans and equity.
The RealtyTrac app integrates mobile, social and location-based technologies and allows users to find homes for sales, foreclosures, recently sold and off-market homes via an interactive map search or list search; take a photo of any home to view relevant details such as listing status, market value and foreclosure information; identify homes while driving through a neighborhood or anywhere, leveraging GPS technology; easily refine the search at any time based on price range, square footage, property type, foreclosure and listing status, year built, equity, lender name, auction date and bankruptcy status; save homes and recent searches with access across platforms on the Web or mobile device; set up alerts when a save home changes status or when new properties hit the market in preferred areas; share homes via Facebook and Twitter; and connect with local real estate agents regarding specific properties.
According to Jamie Moyle, CEO of RealtyTrac, “There is a growing demand for real estate data on the go—industry-wide and particularly for our website, where we have seen traffic to our mobile site nearly double in the last year. Our goal was to create a more-engaging and empowering way for the mobile house hunter to find the perfect home or investment property. The property-identifying photo feature makes it easy for consumers and real estate investors to evaluate a property they are standing in front of without even typing in or knowing the address.”
RealtyTrac’s app is one among several new real estate mobile-technology advances announced recently. As GlobeSt.com reported earlier this week, a new mobile app from Auction.com allows buyers to bid on both commercial and residential real estate anywhere they use their iPads. The app fully integrates Auction.com’s platform and iPad’s technical infrastructure to produce an entirely new user experience, according to the firm.
The new iPad app provides expanded tools and one-touch, mobile accessibility. With a tap, users gain access to an interactive map of North America that can be refined by location, property type, opening bid, size, age and financing options. Properties and search criteria can be added to a personal dashboard that delivers real-time auction updates, reminders and full bidding capabilities. Auction.com tells GlobeSt.com that while the app is currently only available for iPad use, it will soon be available on iPhone.
