Why would anyone still be talking about a double-dip? The recession ended in 2009 and we've been in an expansion since 2011. It's way too late for a double-dip, it would be a new recession and a new cycle.

Great article, Paul. However, while Mr. Shay is clearly more adept than I am at global economics, we just returned from three of the PIIGs, Italy, Greece and Spain, and the amount of economic improvement just in the past few years is astoundingly visible at the retail, tourist level, if not at the central bank level.
