BUFFALO-The State Department of Health has approved Community Health Center of Buffalo Inc's request to convert the Hamilton B Mizer Primary Care Center into a federally qualified health center (FQHC). The site has been run by the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for over 30 years and is in dire need of upgradation.

The plan has also received the backing of the John R Oishei Foundation, which has pledged a grant for two years for $525,000 to help develop the facility. For the full story, go to Houston Business Journal.
