HANOVER, MA-The purchase of a 19th century farm in Hanover seemed like the ideal project for development in the region. However, local officials have deemed the project too ambitious during trying economic times.

Local officials originally planned to convert the barn and the farmhouse into two housing units while preserving the property's historic designs. Despite receiving $1.1 million in community preservation funding, the project remains unchanged. For the full story, go to The Boston Globe.
