NEW YORK CITY-The Boro Park Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is purchasing the Jewish Geriatric Center, a not-for-profit 354-bed nursing home at 4915 10th Ave. in Brooklyn, for $60 million.

The Boro Park Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is a for-profit healthcare and rehabilitation center. The nursing home will lay off about 506 employees subsequent to the completion of the purchase. Boro Park expects the nursing home, under new ownership, to generate $1.1 million on sales of $44.2 million. For the full story, go to Crain's NY Business.
