NEW YORK CITY-A media company, Omnicom Group Inc. is in talks with a retirement system to lease a larger space in East Side office tower.

TIAA-CREF (Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association-College Retirement Equities Fund) is also in talks with tenants about 685 Third Ave., a 559,000-square-foot property, which will be vacated by Pfizer Inc. As the office leasing market is rebounding after the downturn and companies have begun providing jobs, interest in buying and leasing properties have increased.
