CAMBRIDGE, MA-Canyon-Johnson Urban Funds, a Los Angeles-based investment firm, is collaborating with New York City-based Atlas Capital Group and Boston-based HYM Investment Group to spend nearly $1.5 billion during the next 10 years in the stalled, 44-acre NorthPoint development located near to Kendall Square in Cambridge.

The partners propose to construct the residential, commercial and retail complexes spanning five million square feet. The joint venture between Cambridge NorthPoint LLC and Boston and Maine Corp. originally conceived the development in 2000. For the full story, go to Boston Globe.
