TAMPA, FL-Interstate Hotels & Resorts has purchased Crowne Plaza Tampa East, a 265-room hotel at 10221 Princess Palm Ave., through a joint venture with a private investment group and Waramaug Hospitality, LLC. The hotel, situated on the opposite side of Sabal Business Park, will undergo an $8.5-million renovation.

The Crowne Plaza is a full-service hotel. Amenities in the hotel include a business center, restaurant, recreation and sports court, outdoor swimming pool and a 30,000-square-foot meeting space. For the full story, go to Florida Real Estate Journal .
