Rouse and General Growth Will Merge in Nearly $13B Deal
COLUMBIA, MD-The Rouse Co., a leading REIT known in particular for its upscale retail properties, gets snapped up by Chicago's General Growth Properties Inc. in a deal valued at $12.6 billion. Rouse is owner of such high-end shopping destinations as Boston's Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
