Putting all of the static aside since Donald Trump took the oath of office, one of the agenda items that is a pillar of the President’s plan to inject life into the economy is a $1 trillion commitment to infrastructure. The great news is that the plan has full bipartisan support, in fact, the Democrats are even more committed to the plan than some Republicans.

Often plans such as this get caught-up in politics without the desired outcome. But the good news is that with congressional support, and the announcement that two of the nation’s leading real estate executives, Stephen Roth and Richard LeFrak, will chair an Infrastructure Council that insure that the plans are sound, managed correctly, and get done on time and on budget. I am excited by this opportunity to finally address our under-investment in aging infrastructure.

The other dividend is that this is going to be very good for the economy and the real estate industry.
