Laidlaw & Company Relocates Headquarters to 521 Fifth Ave.

SL Green Realty inks a 10-year lease with the UK-based investment banking and securities brokerage firm.

521 Fifth Ave. Laidlaw & Company (UK) Ltd. will move its US headquarters to 521 Fifth Ave.

NEW YORK CITY— Laidlaw & Company (UK) Ltd. is staying in Midtown, moving its headquarters just a couple of blocks down the street. SL Green Realty, New York City’s largest commercial property owner, signed a 10-year lease with the global investment banking and securities brokerage firm, for 20,987 square feet of office space at 521 Fifth Ave.

Laidlaw will occupy the entire 12th floor of the 39-story building. Originally built in 1928 and designed by architects Shreve, Lamb & Harmon Associates, the property is also known as the Lefcourt National Building. The 490,000 square-foot structure is on Fifth Avenue, between 43rd and 44th streets. SL Green Realty notes that the property has been fully redeveloped.
