CHICAGO—Colliers International has just announced its annual “Everest Club” honorees, a designation awarded to the top 10% producers from the Seattle-based firm’s Americas region, but this year’s group of winners included a surprise. Chicago-based principal Frederick L. Regnery, who was named top industrial producer of the Americas, was also the #2 overall producer. It’s an unusual achievement for an industrial specialist, but it might also be indicative of just how strong the US industrial market has been in the past year.

“The fees are typically much bigger for office deals in the major markets,” Regnery tells GlobeSt.com. Deals in Manhattan, for example, can be worth $100 per square foot, while some industrial deals can be worth only $5. However, these days many industrial deals can bring in big money.
