SAN DIEGO—The pros of high-rise office buildings are many for owners, operators and tenants, but high-rises are not for everyone, Sunroad Enterprises’ president, real estate division, Richard Vann tells GlobeSt.com. The firm recently revealed its plans to develop Centrumplace, an office campus in Central San Diego that will be the commercial centerpiece of the Centrum Master Plan, which encompasses eight acres of business facilities, retail, residences, and green space. Centrumplace will consist of the existing Centrum I, a 275,000-square-foot building completed in 2008, and two new class-A office high-rises. We spoke exclusively with Vann about the project and the pros and cons of developing high-rise office buildings.

GlobeSt.com: Where in Central San Diego is this project being built, and why was this location chosen?
