After Twelve Years, St. John Properties Starts Work on the 81-acre Ashburn Crossing

ASHBURN, VA—Some twelve years after it acquired the land, St. John Properties is breaking ground on the first two buildings that will be part of an 81-acre mixed-use business community called Ashburn Crossing. The company is building two R&D/office/flex buildings on spec, confident that it will have tenants for the properties sooner rather than later. Construction costs are estimated to be around $15 million, St. John Properties’ Matt  Holbrook tells GlobeSt.com.

The company feels safe making the investment: Ashburn Crossing is located in the heart of Loudoun County’s so-called Data Center Alley. Also, Ashburn itself is becoming an entertainment cluster, attracting more investment, Holbrook said.
