KANSAS CITY, MO-Almost three years after a venture broke ground on the 800-acre KCI Intermodal BusinessCentre here at the Kansas City airport, parts maker Blount International has said it will move into the first 350,000-square-foot, build-to-suit facility. New York City-based Clarion Partners and Dallas-based Trammell Crow Co. started infrastructure work on the property here in late 2008.

The $200 million business park, being built at the southeast corner of the airport, was supposed to have its first of four speculative buildings up by December 2009, according to Trammell representatives in 2008. However, interest stalled during the recession.
