FLEx Lighting expanded to new
space at 25 E. Washington.

CHICAGO- FLEx Lighting, a designer and manufacturer of light fixtures and LED lighting technology, has expanded its operations with a 13,000-square-foot lease in an east Loop office building. FLEx Lighting relocated recently from 3,000 square feet at 208 S. Jefferson to its new digs at 25 E. Washington.

“We are really excited about our new location and are certain that it will suit the needs of our growing organization for many years to come,” said Mike Casper, president of FLEx lighting, in a press release. “Most importantly, though, this new space keeps us in the excitement of downtown Chicago. There is a growing buzz with the tech industry in Chicago and we are excited to add our success in hardware technology to the success of the software-based firms in the city.” Casper added that FLEx Lighting has grown during the past year, and that growth is anticipated to continue.

Josh Feldman, managing director with Bradford Allen Realty Services, represented the tenant in finding the right space and the lease negotiations. “Having a presence in Chicago was important to FLEx, as was finding the right location,” noted Feldman in the same press release. “With 10-foot high ceilings, abundant natural light and open space for a collaborative work environment, the new space reflects the firm’s creative business and supports its ongoing growth needs.”



Leasing/Marketing Assignments

  • Blue Vista Capital Management LLC has hired HSA Commercial to market for sale a 97,595-square-foot, fully-leased retail and warehouse property at 320 Army Trail Rd. the retail portion of the property  is anchored by American Sale. Crossway, a national publisher and distributor of evangelical Christian books, leases 46,635 square feet in the building for use as a regional distribution center. The balance of the retail space is leased to Back to Bed, a 73-unit chain based in Itasca, Ill., and Executive Tan, a nationally-franchised tanning salon. HSA Commercial’s Tim Thompson, Michael Havdala, Paul Broderick, and Brenton Schrader are representing Blue Vista Capital Management in the investment offering.



  • @properties Commercial recently brokered the sale of a four-unit new-construction apartment building at 1261 N. Honore, in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood, for $1.625 million. Kevin Rocio with @properties Commercial  represented the building’s developer in the bank-approved short sale. Built in 2007, and originally marketed as condominiums, the building includes four duplex 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath units with high-end finishes, four garage parking spaces, one outdoor space, two decks per unit and a common deck on top of the garage. The building was 100-percent leased at the time of sale.
