Christian Charre

MIAMI—Christian Charre, Paul Weimer, and Natalie Castillo are joining forces with CBRE. The trio made up the core of The Charre Group, which as earned a reputation in South Florida’s hotel market as a trusted real estate investment banking firm and advisor.

“Strong demand from U.S. and Latin American investors coupled with the high barriers to entry set the Miami and South Florida hotel markets in an enviable position,” commented Ken Krasnow, managing director for the South Florida offices of CBRE. “Investors from all over the world have taken notice.”

Charre, Weimer, and Castillo have experience dealing in all types of hotel assets, including luxury hotels and resorts, full-service hotels, boutique assets, select service, and extended stay properties. Recent clients include Sunstone Hotel Investors with the Royal Palm, The Blackstone Group with the disposition of the Miami Beach Resort, and The Carlyle Group with its acquisition of two hotels in Miami Beach. Together, the trio has sold or financed more than $3 billion worth of assets.

Joining CBRE|Hotels as a senior vice president, Charre was most recently president of The Charre Group and previously served as a principal of BridgeRock Capital Management. He brings more than 25 years of hospitality industry experience to the CBRE table.

Prior to forming The Charre Group, Charre spent 10 years with Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels in Miami as senior vice president where he opened the firm’s Latin America and Caribbean office. His career has also included positions with Hilton Hotels Corporation and Club Med in various countries including France, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, Indonesia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and the United States.

Weimer, now a vice president with CBRE|Hotels, has more than 14 years of experience in the hospitality real estate and finance industry. Prior to joining The Charre Group, Weimer spent two years as director at Trinity Hotel Investors, LLC, a New York City-based private equity firm focused on investing in the hospitality sector. He previously headed the hospitality practice at HIGroup, where he was responsible for over $300 million in sales and financing of hotels and related real estate.

Castillo is joining CBRE|Hotels as an associate. Prior to joining The Charre Group, Castillo was with Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels where she performed market research and operational analysis for the offering of investment properties in the company’s portfolio.
