PITTSBURGH-National Real Estate Information Services will be laying off more than 200 workers here beginning next month.
The Pittsburgh-based title, settlement and appraisal firm based at 290 Biltmore Drive filed a notice last month with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry that it will be laying off all of its 215 workers in Pittsburgh starting in February, according to a report in the Pittsburgh Business Times.
The notice stated that the impending layoffs at the Pittsburgh office are “as a result of the dissolution and windup” of NERIS. The newspaper report stated that it was unclear if NREIS was only closing its Pittsburgh office or other locations as well. The company’s website states the firm employs 1,200 workers.
