DOBBS FERRY, NY-A controversial mixed-use project here just off the Saw Mill River Parkway received final environmental approval in a 4-3 vote by the Village Board of Trustees.

The vote ends a two-year environmental review and now moves the project into the site plan stage, according to a report in the Journal News.

Saber Dobbs Ferry Associates, the developer, submitted a slightly trimmed down plan that now calls for an 18,000-sf gourmet market, a 123-room hotel, an eight-screen movie theater, 62,000 additional square feet of commercial space and 202 rental apartments and 1,200 parking spaces.
