SEATTLE—The city’s Downtown Design Review Board is tentatively scheduled to re-examine the proposal for the NBA/NHL arena in Sodo on March 5.

It will be the fourth “early design guidance” meeting for the $490 million project that hedge-fund manager Chris Hansen is proposing. Earlier this month, Hansen said he had a binding agreement with the owners of the Sacramento Kings to buy the National Basketball Association team, according to a report in the Puget Sound Business Journal.

When the city’s review board signs off on the design, the arena project can move onto the permitting process. During the third design review meeting, Hansen’s lawyer Jack McCullough said he hoped the board would OK the arena proposal by Kansas City-base 360 Architecture.

But board members declined, and asked the architects to come back for a fourth meeting.
