RICHARDSON—The University of Texas at Dallas plans to break ground next month on a $53.25 million student living and learning center on its campus here.
The 235,000-square-foot complex will house 600 students and will be the central dining facility for all five residence halls on campus. The facility could serve up to 800 students, says the Dallas Business Journal.
The project is scheduled for completion in August 2014. UT-Dallas will seek LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for the center.
Dallas-based HKS Architects Inc. designed the project. Hill & Wilkinson is the general contractor of the project, which will break ground March 6.
