PHILADELPHIA-While Beneficial Bank says it has narrowed its search to three locations in the city, a report has it that the bank is seriously considering 1818 Market St. here for its new corporate headquarters.
The financial firm would have a bank branch in the building and would lease approximately 120,000 sf there, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. The company would relocate from its current offices at 510-530 Walnut St. (Penn Mutual Towers), which is in the Independence Square office submarket in Philadelphia. The bank would not release the locations of the three offices it is considering.
“While we had the option of moving our headquarters out of Philadelphia, we chose to stay in the city that has been our home for 160 years,” the company says in a statement. “We cannot comment on any discussions with city or state officials as they are ongoing, but our decision to stay was one based on a commitment to our customers and employees.” See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
