NEW YORK CITY-GFK Market Research is nearing a deal to lease approximately 75,000 sf of space at 1 World Financial Center.
The company, currently housed in Chelsea Market, is said to be taking one of the lower floors in the 40-story office building owned by Brookfield Properties, according to Crain’s New York Business.
GFK’s space at Chelsea Market is being occupied by Google, which has expanded into the Chelsea Market from its headquarters nearby at 111 Eighth Ave.
Brookfield Properties CEO Dennis Friedrich said during an earnings call earlier this month that it had solid lease commitments for about 1.5 million sf, nearly all of the 1.6 million-sf building. See story in Crain’s New York Business.
