SEATTLE—The Dexter Horton office building in downtown Seattle may be for sale.

In reporting the story, The Puget Sound Business Journal cited industry sources one of whom asked not to be named.  The Journal said that Portland firm Gerding Edlen is the likely buyer the 15-story office building at 710 Third Ave.

“Word on the street is that it’s in play,” said a second broker, Greg Inglin of Colliers International, in speaking with the Journal.  The president of Gerding Edlen, reportedly declined to comment.

In 2006, LaSalle Investment Management bought the 300,000-square-foot Dexter Horton on behalf of Prudential UK, for $81 million. Brokers said that San Francisco commercial real estate broker Jason Flynn is listing the property for sale.

From 2000-06, the historic landmark, underwent $34 million in renovations.
