NEW YORK CITY-Thor Equities has filed suit against the seller of an office/retail building on Spring Street here, claiming last year’s sale to SL Green Realty violated an exclusive agreement on the property.
Thor has filed suit in New York State Supreme Court against Willspring Holdings over the sale of the 60,000-square-foot office and retail building at 131-137 Spring St., according to Crain’s New York Business. The ground floor retail space at the building is occupied by Diesel USA and Burberry.
Thor says in court papers that the $115-million sale to SL Green Realty in December violated an exclusive agreement Thor and Willspring had reached earlier.
Willspring has responded in court papers that Thor made several counteroffers to sales proposals made by Willspring that nullified its obligation to sell Thor the building, the newspaper reports. See story in Crain’s New York Business.
