BOGOTA, NJ-The borough of Bogota is expected to clear the way for a developer to transform a former elementary school on Palisade Avenue here into a multifamily development.
A redevelopment plan that calls for the elimination of a requirement that any development at the former Dewey Elementary School site must be senior housing or have a 20% set-aside for low- and moderate-income residents is expected to be approved by the borough. The borough is looking to redevelop the property into a 44-unit apartment building.
A developer, 297 Palisade Avenue LLC, is expected to appear before the Planning Board on March 12 to request variances for a six-story apartment complex. See story in The Record.
