MIAMI—Restoration Hardware just inked a 101,105-square-foot lease at the Pompano Beach Distribution Center. The newly-constructed property is in the emerging industrial area east of Interstate 95.

Cushman & Wakefield executive director of Industrial Brokerage for South Florida, Rick Etner, along with partners, Christopher Metzger, Sky Groden, and Christopher Thomson, represented the landlord. Weeks Robinson Properties, an Atlanta-based real estate investment and development company, along with their local development partner Jeremy Shapiro of Miami-based Mainstream Investment Realty, Inc, developed the industrial property.

Restoration Hardware is a signature brand in the home furnishings marketplace offering furniture, lighting, textiles, bath ware, décor, outdoor and garden, as well as baby and child products. The luxury brand operates 74 galleries and 13 outlets, while Source Books and websites serve as virtual extensions and compelling tours of the brand.

“Restoration Hardware is a luxury brand that operates an integrated business with multiple channels of distribution,” says Etner. “This facility is the perfect fit for a warehouse/distribution user desiring to cater to the South Florida market.”

The Pompano Distribution Center has a total footprint of about 202,226 square foot and offers some of the highest ceilings in the market, with over 32 feet of clearance, an ESFR sprinkler system (Early Suppression Fast Response) and 180′ truck courts. The building will accommodate industrial users needing 20,000 square feet and above.

“We continue to see dramatic increased activity in the Pompano Beach submarket with extremely limited amount of new product under construction,” says Etner. “Given these factors, we anticipate less available space and continued high demand and interest for the remaining space at the distribution center.”

Cushman & Wakefield says Restoration Hardware’s choice of this area proves the location is a viable destination point for Class A distribution clients looking in Northeast Broward County. Pompano Beach Distribution Center is located in an area of North Broward that enjoys less traffic congestion that Miami. The industrial property is near bedroom communities and executive homes of Lighthouse Point, Pompano Beach, and Boca Raton.
