PITTSBUGH-Bank of America is laying off 209 workers at its offices at 1120 Boyce Road here.
The company says it is vacating leased space at its mortgage servicing unit at the Boyce Road property. The company will retain its mortgage servicing complex on the North Side, where it employs several hundred workers in mortgage servicing functions, according to the Pittsburgh Business Journal.
The affected workers will be let go by the end of September, according to a spokesperson for the Charlotte, NC-based bank. The layoffs are part of a national downsizing of the company’s mortgage servicing group. See story in the Pittsburgh Business Journal.
