MARLBOROUGH, MA-Semiconductor maker Cavium Inc. has renewed and expanded its space at 600 Nickerson Rd. within Normandy Real Estate Partners‘ Marlborough Technology Park here. The tenant has signed for a total of 103,000 square feet here, including a 42,163-square-foot expansion that brings the property to full occupancy. Terms were not disclosed.
Cavium, headquartered in San Jose, previously occupied two floors of 600 Nickerson and will now also occupy the top floor in the three-story building. It’s the sole tenant at the property.
“This is Cavium’s second expansion within Marlborough Technology Park,” says Normandy VP Matthew Lavell. “They are an excellent tenant and we are pleased to have the opportunity to work with them during their exciting period of growth.” The tenant’s third-quarter results, announced last week, showed a 29.5% year-over-year increase in revenues.
John Lashar, partner, Paul Leone, partner, and Danielle DeMarco, leasing associate, all of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners, represented Normandy in the leases. RBJ&P is the exclusive leasing agent for Marlborough Technology Park. Cavium was represented by Kevin Malloy of Avison Young and Tim Latham of Lincoln Property Co.
Located on 85 acres, Marlborough Technology Park is a campus environment totaling 573,576 square feet in six two-story buildings in addition to the three-story 600 Nickerson. It is master planned to accommodate an additional 270,000 square feet of development. Normandy completed a major renovation and repositioning of the park, which was originally built in the 1980s, in the fall of 2007.
