BOCA RATON, FL—Locally-based private real estate investment and management firm Crocker Partners reports that it has added three new executives to its management team to help facilitate the firm’s planned growth in its portfolio in the southeastern and southwestern U.S.
Fred. W. Taeger has joined firm as director of financial reporting; Josh Edwards has been hired as vice president-regional asset manager for North and Central Florida, and Scott Barr has joined the company as an associate.
Angelo Bianco, partner, said the new positions strengthen Crocker Partners’ in-house capabilities as it aggressively pursues new acquisitions, and fully integrates the more than 1.2 million square feet in assets the company has acquired over the past 12 months. Overall, Crocker Partners owns more than 6 million square feet of real estate with more than $1 billion invested in Atlanta, Houston and in Florida, including properties in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville.
As director of financial reporting, Taeger is responsible for the company’s investor and lender financial reporting, and income tax compliance. A certified public accountant, he was an audit senior manager with Deloitte & Touche LLP before joining Crocker Partners, and previously worked at Ocwen Financial Corp. within its mortgage operations.
Edwards will oversee the company’s 1.5-million-square-foot portfolio in North and Central Florida in his new post. He was previously vice president at Wells Fargo, responsible for $150 million of commercial real estate throughout the Southeast U.S., including more than 1.5 million square feet in Florida. He also served as director of development for Flagler Development in North and Central Florida, and project manager for Evergreen Construction in Atlanta.
As an associate with the firm, Barr is responsible for analysis, due diligence and transaction execution functions for new acquisitions in Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee, as well as assisting with asset management, property management and leasing functions. Prior to joining Crocker Partners, he worked with New York Life Real Estate Investors, Buchanan Street Partners, LNR Partners, and Raymond James Tax Credit Funds.
