Industrial Facility to Provide Needed San Joaquin Jobs

The flexible space will accommodate distribution or manufacturing uses.

TRACY, CA—In an undersupplied/over-demand area of Tracy, industrial space accommodating one or several users is soon to be a visible presence going up on the north side of Interstate 205. DCT Industrial Operating LLC has broken ground on a 795,732-square-foot industrial distribution building at 8450 Arbor Ave., just east of MacArthur Drive. Completion is scheduled for the third quarter of next year.

David Haugen, senior vice president of DCT Industrial, tells GlobeSt.com: “This was a collaborative effort with the city and is special for DCT to build in the Central California market. It took two and a half years to get to this point because there were no services there. We needed to bring in water, storm drain facilities and sewer lines. The adjacent landowners will benefit as well.”
