Oil Woes Force Halliburton Office Complex on the Block

HOUSTON—Located west of Sam Houston Tollway, the Oak Park campus has potential as a redevelopment play for users and developers, or as a turnkey office space with numerous amenities in place.

HOUSTON—With oil markets giving Halliburton a pounding, the company is increasingly under pressure to unload assets, underperforming or otherwise. One such asset is a building that goes all the way back to 1979 for Halliburton. It was expanded as recently as 2009 when the capacity went from 1,700 to 3,000 workers.  

Located at 10200 Bellaire Blvd., the office complex represents an opportunity to occupy and redevelop a 48-acre site in West Houston’s Westchase District near Beltway 8. JLL recently brought the structure to market on behalf of Halliburton. Although the building was built in 1979, Halliburton has made many cosmetic, mechanical and electrical upgrades since 2013.
