First Affordable LEED Housing Project Underway

BENBROOK, TX—Much of Benbrook’s growth and stable financial position are due to its growing housing values as well as vital healthcare, utility and energy sectors, with the latter due in large part to the rapid increase in natural gas drilling in the Barnett Shale. In that growth and stability vein, the first and only affordable housing project designed to meet or exceed LEED Silver standards is underway at 3510 Boston Ave. Dallas-based developer OM Housing LLC selected Texas multifamily contractor, KWA Construction, to build the 144-unit 165,000-square foot garden-style complex, Villas at Boston Heights.
