Ken Page Page advises young brokers to be placed with a senior brokerage team when just starting out.

HOUSTON—Transwestern announced its top producers for the 2016 calendar year. In total, 30 individual producers were named to the company’s 2017 Champions’ Club. Locally, Ken Page, senior managing director, earned the title of top tenant advisory services producer and Eric Anderson was the top agency leasing producer.

“The year 2016 was special for our firm. We had the most Champions’ Club qualifiers in our 39-year history,” said Larry Heard, CEO of the Transwestern family of companies.

Page has 32 years of commercial real estate experience and specializes in assisting institutional owners and tenants. He has been instrumental in major transactions totaling more than 30 million square feet, including two for the same confidential client: a 260,000-square-foot lease in Houston’s CBD and 120,000-square-foot lease in downtown Dallas.

GlobeSt.com asked Page what advice he would give a young broker starting out. His response was work hard to be placed with a senior brokerage team, learn as much as you can, be the hardest working member of the team, and be persistent and patient.

Anderson has been Transwestern’s number one overall producer nationally three separate years. He has been top five nationally seven years, and Houston’s overall top producer 18 separate years. In 2007, Anderson was the recipient of the prestigious HOLBA landlord representative of the year award, which is selected by the tenant representation community in Houston. In addition, he was voted one of Real Estate Forum’s top brokers in the nation in 2007. Anderson has also received project leasing deal of the year multiple times. He was again named one of CoStar’s “Power Brokers” in Houston for the last 18 years.

Some of Anderson’s top deals include Thompson Knight at BG Group Place, RSM US LLP at Four Oaks Place and University of Houston–Victoria at Grandway West.

GlobeSt.com asked what advice he would give his younger self. His response was proper preparation will help prevent disappointing results, surround yourself with people who complement your weaknesses, and find a mentor and learn from their successes–and their mistakes.
