SAN BERNARDINO, CA—Ampac USA, a designer and manufacturer of advanced water purification systems, has chosen San Bernardino County for its corporate headquarters. The company is relocating from Canoga Park in Los Angeles County.

Ampac is expanding to a four-building property totaling 11,500 square feet of space situated on three-fourths of an acre in Montclair. The company plans on completing its relocation later this month.

“Ampac is growing at a rapid pace and we pride ourselves on being a company that not only does a lot of good for people across the globe, but that also brings dollars into America through our solid export business,” CEO Sammy Farag says. “The Montclair facility we acquired is ideal as it offers separate buildings for our various manufacturing functions, providing a smoother, more efficient process. It is well-located at the heart of a strong transportation network near Ontario International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and key freeways. This is very important to us as we transport our goods via air and ground.”

Over the coming months, the County of San Bernardino will be working with Ampac USA on workforce development initiatives, as well as moving forward with state incentives and programs including the California Competes Tax Credit, Sales & Use Tax Exemption for new equipment purchases, Employment Training Panel, and utility and energy efficiency rebates.

“We have been working tirelessly to tap into new markets and find creative ways to bring more businesses to our county. We are thrilled to have Ampac USA join the growing roster of companies choosing to locate here,” says Supervisor James Ramos, chairman of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. “Global firms such as Ampac USA prove the critical reach of this region for companies that are seeking to conduct business on an international level. This county continues to offer the right mix of location, access and workforce that helps companies to grow and thrive.”

Located at the heart of Southern California, an economy of 23 million people, San Bernardino County is the largest county in the United States.
